Meet Natasha
Natasha Soonchild is an Australian sculptor, designer, painter, printmaker and recycler based in Nundle, NSW. Using collected ephemera, cast-offs and rusty neglected treasures she creates narrative objects, sculptures and Mini-Museum assemblages breathing new life into these forgotten, discarded, items.
Ever curious, Natasha regularly experiments in different mediums, learning and integrating new techniques into her art practice. With an abiding interest in storytelling, her work finds life in various mediums, from oil painting to pastel, from rustic sculptures to delicate assemblages, from relief prints to dry-point etching.
You’ll find Natasha welding in her rustic garage, painting down by the river or sketching with pastels on the side of a mountain. Stormcrow Studio is her gallery and shop inside what used to be the village butcher shop, now a beautifully restored heritage building in the heart of Nundle.
